Byron McCann is a partner of Ascent Partners, a merchant bank
specializing in investments, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic
alliances for technology companies. He is a venture partner of Prism
Capital, a venture capital firm investing primarily in technology
companies.
He was recently CEO of Service Intelligence, a
leader in customer experience measurement for major retail chains. He
completed an acquisition of SI by Global Compliance Services in 2006.
He
was a founder of GenSoft, acquired by Computer Associates; a former
officer of a cable television advertising venture, sold to TCI; and a
consultant for Ernst & Young’s national telecommunications
consulting practice.
He is on the board of the WSA (formerly
Washington Software Alliance) and was previously Vice-Chairman. He is a
cum laude graduate from Harvard and has an MBA from Stanford.

Nick is a co-founder of bioenergy start-up Cordon Technologies. The
Cordon Project is a sustainable approach to produce renewable energy
and high-value agricultural products to expanding markets.
He is also co-founder and president of the small start-up Hana Hou
Recycling Inc. The company delivers
curbside recycling and other sustainability solutions to luxury resorts and communities.
Previously, Nick worked for Intel Corp. in a variety of capacities including sales and product marketing. Nick has also managed the integration of acquired wireless companies and was involved with strategic marketing on the group level for computing platforms.
He has also been active with the international group NetImpact, formally Students for Socially Responsible Business, both as a graduate student and as Intel's liaison to the organization.
Nick has an undergraduate degree from Oregon State University and an MBA from George Fox University.
