Hawaii Angels Hawaii Angels is a nonprofit, incorporated club focused on investing in emerging companies that create innovation, value, employment, and economic growth. Angel investors help provide start up money for new companies, usually in high technology. For Hawaii Angels, most of the start-up companies are Hawaii Qualified High Tech Businesses (QHTB’s) that are eligible for specific Act 221-215 tax credits. The club members are individuals with sufficient financial means that they are considered to be "accredited investors.”
Angel Investors An accredited investor or angel (also known as a business
angel or informal investor) is an affluent individual who
provides capital for a business start-up, usually in exchange for convertible debt or ownership equity. A small but increasing
number of angel investors organize themselves into angel groups
or angel networks to share research and pool their investment
capital.
Hawaii Angels Events Events are exclusively for accredited investors who are either Hawaii Angel members or those interested in learning about Hawaii Angels. Catered pupus and beverages are complimentary to members and first time guests. For information on becoming a member please click on Become a member.
